lessons my brother taught me, after he committed suicide
“I wrote this book through my tears after identifying the reasons that my beloved brother Ronnie Bethune committed suicide not long ago. He did it because he found himself stuck in the midst of some very difficult life circumstances that he just didn’t know the way out of, so he took himself out instead. I pray that the words in this book will serve as a road map out of whatever it is that has your life stuck right now. Don’t give up on life, don’t ever give up!” – Michael Bethune
8 Steps to Getting UNSTUCK in Life is for anyone who is honestly ready and fully committed to doing the hard work that’s required to get unstuck and begin to move their life forward!
Michael Bethune (once himself a homeless military veteran) certainly knows the hard work and commitment that it takes to get unstuck and reach your true potential, he’s made the journey. He now lives to help others do the same. For over 20 years he has served in multiple organizations that help people throughout the Tri-State Area including Calvary Baptist Church of Morristown NJ, The Salvation Army, The Market Street Mission, Teen Pride Inc. and Covenant House. He has also served as a chapel/inspirational speaker for NFL teams since 2004. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Drew University Theological Seminary in Madison NJ and undergraduate degrees from both Philadelphia Biblical University in Langhorne PA and Trinity College in Newburgh IN.
Author (and once homeless military veteran) Michael Bethune brings a wealth of personal and professional experience, as well as practicality, to this little-discussed but the universal human dilemma of what to do when the pain of our life experiences, paralyzes our forward progress. Through a 10-Stage Journey that demands rigorous honesty and deep introspection, HOW TO TRANSFORM YOUR PAIN INTO PURPOSE helps readers to reframe (reinterpret) and redirect (reverse), the paralyzing pain of their prior life experiences. Because most people are conditioned to immediately anesthetize life’s pain, they never benefit from the potentially “life-changing” tools that accompany it. Journeying through these 10-stages will help to uncover those tools, and eventually transform your pain into power. The kind of power that has the potential to propel life into purpose & meaning, and no longer paralyze it! Because life’s pain doesn’t discriminate, this book is for readers of all ages and walks of life.
